Drew & Quinn Millegan, Managing partners of the Woodworth Contrarian Fund, trace their deep roots in Oregon back to Scotland. James Alexander Millegan (pictured), their great-great-great-great grandfather made the treacherous voyage alone from Scotland in 1803 at the age of 7 to New York City. He hailed from Edinburgh, but in New York, he met his wife and built a family that went out West, settling in Oregon and Montana. His children were even the 13th homesteaders in Montana, founding Millegan, MT. He was the only veteran of the War of 1812 buried in Montana - he was visiting his children when he fell ill.
